Dr Elanor Hinton has over 16 years’ post-doctoral clinical research experience, primarily in the study of the neuroregulation of appetite and obesity. Ella joined OMP in December 2022 as Clinical Studies Manager. Current studies including the first-in-human trial of Oxford Medical Products’ novel weight-loss product and planning for the pivotal trial in the USA. Through her role at the NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre, Diet & Physical Activity theme, University of Bristol, she is also leading on an NIHR Research for Patient Benefit grant to co-develop a novel therapeutic intervention for young people living with obesity. Ella is focussing on increasing Public and Patient involvement (PPI) in research, recently publishing work on recommendations to encourage PPI in product development by SMEs. Ella holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
